Xavi – a tough candidate to coach Barcelona?/Xavi vs. Velverde

The output of the FC Barcelona in season 2019-20 was not sufficient in the begininning when Messi – the magician was inaccessible by virtue of genuine physical injuries. The public demand exerted pressure on the concerned board to audit the appointment of lead trainer Velverde whether he should proceed or merit goodbye party. Soon recovery of Messi provoked the potential of the team in straight successes towards top positions in Laliga and Champion League also called UCL. So, retention of Velverde seems to be due to massive impact of Messi both, on the pitch as well as regulating body.

When there was echo of expulsion of Velverde among football patriots, Xavi emerged as a potential cadidate to be delegated. The intention behind this favor was his tremendous playing experience from the respective club, understanding with its working mechanism, and chances of easy adjustment to already familiar environment. Similarly, on a question “Would you like to coach Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Co?”, he replied that it would not be inconvenient, I know how Leo, Luis, Busi, Jordial, Pique, and Sergi are, I know how they train, their capacity for leadership, if they are sad or angry…I hope as a coach I could have three, five, eight, or 10 players that I already know and I have a good relationship with (Ref: SPORT;; 22-09-2019). However, his placement was not materialized as he lacked coaching experience of big League teams in his credentials.

Velverde  has coached three team by now

  • Valencia (2012-13)
  • Athletic bilbao (2013-17)
  • FC Barcelona (2017 – todate)

Xavi has coached two teams

  • Catalonia (1998-2016)
  • Alsadd (2019)

Conclusion:As it seems that the clash between the fans and velverde has gone silent .After providing satisfying result but the career of velverde is a Question mark.

  1. Xavi was beast as a player but Coaching Barca isn’t for all. I think Xavi needs time to enhance his coaching skills.

  2. Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in Firefox. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The design and style look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Thanks
